Hi,

Could sombody explain how the system of levels (ie A1) work on this site?

We have adopted the Common European Framework ([url=http://www.coe.int/T/DG4/Portfolio/?L=E&M=/main_pages/levels.html]http://www.coe.int/T/DG4/Portfolio/?L=E&M=/main_pages/levels.html[/url]), which establishes six different levels of language learning. We are currently making materials for the first four:

A1: Principiante, Beginner.
A2: Elemental, Elementary
B1: Intermedio, Intermediate
B2: Avanzado, Advanced

According to the levels in the US high schools, A1-A2 would be Spanish I, A2-B1 would be Spanish II, B2 would be Spanish III and IV. But that, of course, depends on how fast your students progress, because the differences between schools can be notorious. For that reason, we have also included a brief description about the vocabulary and grammar that each of our materials focuses on.

To make it easier, we have just organized our Icebreaker section, placing the videos for beginners (Spanish I) at the bottom of the page, and the most difficult ones (Spanish III and above) at the top. We hope that helps…
